Lucid Winter Dreaming
Winter is thinning out, days are getting longer and birds are restless at five in the morning. At the wake of dawn this unrelenting song is somehow pleasing and I lay awake listening.
In time I fall right back to sleep and in that short space of time, in my awaken dream, my friends and I are chirping tunelessly and the crunch of my shopping bags sound like wings flapping.
These post-winter dreams are strange yet lucid and I look forward to the grand arrival of Spring.
